Overview

PriseAfrica is an educational ERP built to simplify how schools manage finances. It connects student wallets, tuition billing and campus purchases through a smart identity card that works across canteens, cafes and other on-site services. Administrators get real-time insight into fees, settlements and outstanding bills. Parents stay updated on their child’s spending and tuition status. The platform brings every payment flow in the school into one system, creating a clearer, more efficient financial experience for students, staff and guardians.

Challenges

Working on Prise pushed me into new territory because it was my first real project in Angular. Adapting to its structure, signals and the broader reactive mindset took time, especially coming from frameworks with a different flow. Understanding Angular’s principles and committing to its patterns was the turning point. Once I aligned with its architecture, the development process became more predictable and the work moved faster. The learning curve was steep, but it strengthened the way I think about large, maintainable front-end systems.

My Contributions

I contributed to building the core features that support its role-based system, creating dedicated dashboards for schools, cafés and student accounts. I improved the accessibility and responsiveness of the interface across desktop and mobile, which strengthened engagement and helped retention. I refactored several modules into a more modular structure, reducing errors and making day-to-day maintenance easier. I also introduced clearer coding patterns and unit tests that improved the system’s stability and long-term reliability.
